Holvi Oval — Bi-Tone Travertine Double Arch Dining Table
An oval dining table built from two travertines of the same family. The plateau is a wide, elongated oval of cream travertine — pale ivory with warm amber inclusions, the natural voids left open to read as texture rather than filled — with a fully rounded bullnose edge. It rests on two open arches in a deeper blush-rose travertine: inverted-U portals that rise from rectangular feet, curve into a continuous arc, and meet the underside through a concealed connection. The blush of the arches against the ivory top is a gradation, not a hard contrast — two temperatures of the same stone.
At 190 × 90 cm it seats six to eight, and the open arches keep the floor visible beneath the table, so the piece reads as light rather than massive — unusual for stone. It is the warmest table in the collection: the cream-and-blush travertine brings a residential heat that marble can't, suited to a dining room, an apartment, or a project that wants the structure of stone without its severity.
Both stones are honed to a matte, tactile finish — open-pored, non-reflective, deliberately natural. Travertine is dense and, sealed and maintained, ages by deepening in warmth over years of use rather than wearing. Each top is cut from a different block, so the veining and inclusions are unique to the piece, and the arches are solid travertine, not clad — structure and material are the same thing.
Made to order. Dimensions can be adjusted, alternative travertine tones or a marble specified, and the piece adapted for residential or commercial use. Trade and project quotations available on request.
